International Meeting Center and Guest House in Jerusalem
The International Meeting Center Beit Ben Yehuda opened its doors to guests from all over the world in 2004. It consists of two main buildings: a new construction, housing most of the facilities, and the adjacent historical family home of Eliezer Ben Yehuda, who recreated modern Hebrew (Ivrith), the everyday language of Israel. The complex is associated with Aktion Sühnezeichen Friedensdienste (ASF), a volunteer organization based in Germany.
The guest house has 10 rooms each with its own bathroom and accommodate up to 48 guests in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Accesses and rooms are also available for handicapped people. The prices for single, double, and 4- to 6- bed dorms vary depending on season, individuals or groups, type and size of group and start at 15 euro per person. Groups have also the possibility to order breakfast (the kitchen is dairy only). Our reception is available 24 hours a day.
Three seminar rooms contain video and projection equipment. Free wireless internet, a fully outfitted kitchen, a terrace, and a library can be used by all guests. Breakfast for small groups can be arranged on request. Handicapped access and facilities are provided.
The guest house is located on Ein Gedi Street in a quiet neighborhood in Jerusalem called Talpioth. Free parking spaces are available. Restaurants, stores and several bus lines to the city center are in close proximity. The old town is accessible within 30 minutes on foot.
